A delightful experience awaits you down at the boathouse. On the
14 x 16 foot Boathouse Deck, you
can sit back and watch the tidal Damariscotta River as it winds
its way through the tranquil beauty of the Maine countryside. As
you relax on the deck, you will enjoy seeing many different kinds
of birds visiting the river. For a little exercise, you might like
to play a game of table tennis located in the Boathouse
or take a short walk into town, just 5 - 10 minutes. There you will
find many interesting places to eat, local crafts, and antiques
to view and purchase.

Oak Gables also offers a deluxe Studio
Apartment and the spacious one bedroom River
View Apartment in the Carriage House. Both are completely
furnished with a fully equipped kitchen, color television with cable,
phone, linens and bedding. They are offered by the week during the
season but may be rented by the day, (The River View has a 2 night
minimum) week or month during the off season.

Also offered is a charming Cottage
located on the Damariscotta river. It provides a very peaceful setting
for the cottage guests. The Cottage
is completely furnished with a fully equipped kitchen, color television
with cable, phone, linens, bedding. It features three bedrooms,
a bath off the master bedroom and a bathroom with a claw foot bathtub
between the two smaller bedrooms. Off the living room is a large
screened-in porch on which to while away the warm Maine evenings.
The Cottage is completely insulated
and offered by the week during the season, but may be rented by
the day (2 night minimum) or week during the off season.

For safety and comfort of all guests, there is to be no smoking
in any of the buildings. Those who smoke are asked to limit smoking
